While I didn’t encounter much difficulty with creating my maps or timeline, I definitely found it more difficult to create my map. Part of that comes from the fact that my project is generally in a specific area (Germany), and it doesn’t really feel varied, despite there being plenty of notable locations in German Art (mostly architecture or the locations of art exhibits, which is primarily what I used). I definitely think that it would have more use if I hadn’t done a topic that’s so visually heavy with art, and had done one based on a topic that is more widespread across the globe, it may have felt more “useful,” but I still think mine is helpful.
As for the timeline, it was actually really simple once I got the hang of it. The only thing I found difficult was keeping descriptions both succinct and informative; I found that a lot of context was necessary to explain some entries, to a rather annoying degree. Beyond that, however, it was very useful for my project and helps establish a frame for what time period my project hopes to cover.
